A Velux loft conversion cost will probably appear more economical to you when comparing it to the other conversions detailed below because there is no change to the roof structure. Works usually include but are not limited to:

  • Fire and sound proofing walls and ceiling with insulation
  • Incorporating Velux windows to create skylight into the loft room

Hip to Gable Dormer Conversion from £38,000

End of terrace and semi-detached properties hip rafters will need to increase the roof height by converting the roof from hip to gable when converting the loft space into a dormer conversion. This is a signifıcant contributor to the hip to gable conversion costs. The costs include the build of a gable wall, 1 room and shower room in addition to the works detailed in Velux conversions.

Mansard Loft Conversion from £45,000

Only specific properties are permitted to convert loft spaces into a Mansard loft rooms and will need granted planning permission before construction can commence. The roof will go through extensive construction to create a flat roof and vertical wall to create the signature style of a Mansard, in addition to the works detailed above.
